  1. How many years have you been curling?  My first curling experience was in Montreal, in 1997.  I joined the Royal Montreal Curling club and played with my Dad. I took many years off and returned for a couple of years with the Hillsburgh group, and finally joined the club last season.
  2. How many years have you lived in/around Orangeville? We moved from Mississauga to Caledon in 2006. We commuted to Pearson Airport area for 13 years before selling our business, and retiring.
  3. What is your favourite thing about curling? My favourite part is the physical – sweeping.  It’s quite satisfying to know I may have improved the position of a stone.  That, and everything else about the game, like trying to put a stone in a particular spot – on purpose!!

Brian will assist you in:

  • Registering you as a Club Member
  • Informing you on all events & schedules

       1. How many years have you been curling? I have been curling with my husband for 18 years.  When we   moved to          Orangeville, I wanted to plan a special birthday party for my husband.  The manager at the time was reluctant to rent out the ice for the Saturday night I had asked for as he had a full time rental all day Saturday.  When I told him my husband and I would become members if he rented us the ice, he said OK but asked one simple question - did we all know how to curl?  Of course, I said, knowing full well that neither my husband or myself, or any of our Toronto friends had ever been on a curling ice  before. We didn't leave the ice in very good condition, and the manager had a lot of work to do to  repair  it, but we kept our word and  became members, of which the manager said he was "none too pleased".  But in the end we became friends.

        2. How many years have you lived in/around the Town of Orangeville? I came here in 2001 from Toronto  where I grew up. My husband was in Brampton and we are still living in the first house we ever  owned. I love the downtown vibe of Orangeville, and sense of community.

         3. What is your favourite thing about curling? the camaraderie. Most of the friends that we have me since moving here have been through the club.
