We will begin by acknowledging that the land on which we gather
is part of the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
We acknowledge that these lands are the traditional territory of the Anishnabek, Haudensaunee (Iroquois), Ojibway/Chippewa peoples.
We also recognize the contributions Metis, Inuit and other Indigenous peoples have made
in shaping and strengthening this community, our province and country as a whole.
We are grateful for the opportunity to meet here and we thank all the generations of people who have taken care of this land.
