We are looking for nominations for our annual Club awards which are presented at the AGM.
The Club Awards are the Betty McLaren and the Hearder Award.
Each year the club recognizes 2 individuals in the Club who have gone "Over and Above" as a member of the Orangeville Curling Club during the 2023/2024 season. Any current member may nominate another member for one of the awards by submitting a written nomination to the Club president by Sunday March 30. Betty McLaren Award: Betty McLaren was a member of the OCC who always went the extra mile and any activity she was involved in, she always went Over and Above what was expected.
1. The member must be a member in good standing.
2. Demonstrate exceptional volunteerism by going "Over and Above in an area such as: Food committee, Bonspiel convener, fundraising work, coaching, etc.
Hearder Award: Chris Hearder while a member of the Club and the Club Board of Directors, was a very hands on support of the OCC and worked on several projects at the OCC facility.
1. The members must be a member in good standing.
2. Demonstrate volunteerism in an area such as: improvements and maintenance of the building facilities, Board committee involvement, fundraising work.
